Saint Paul MN

The work continues, as well it should. This time it's St Paul's skyline, at sundown. Cut paper and colored pencil once again :)

Minneapolis Skyline

After moving to Minneapolis, MN in 2005, I fell in love with the city. It's the reason I've made this city my home. To extend my series of Minneapolis/St Paul illustrations, I've created another cut-paper illustration of the Minneapolis skyline. Enjoy :)

Fall Damask Pattern

I recently expanded my knowledge of how-to-create patterns, and this time, I learned how to damask. I sort of knew how, but couldn't quite achieve success. So, that being said, this Fall damask pattern is actually my first successful one! I love how it turned out, too. I see many damask patterns in my "making" future :)

Patterns for Fall

Here are a few of the patterns I've been working on for the Fall season. Fall is by far my favorite time of year. I love the colors of the leaves, the complimentary colors of clothes, the crisp air, the cooler weather. I just love fall!

The pattern of acorns is meant to have many different background color options to choose from.

Wells Fargo Place St Paul

Here is another cut-paper illustration. This one is a mix of mainly cut-paper, and a bit of colored pencil. This illustration is of Wells Fargo Place, located in downtown Saint Paul, MN.

IDS Center Minneapolis

So here is another cut-paper illustration. This one is 100% cut paper, and though it was a challenge, it was a lot of fun. It's the IDS Center, which is located in downtown Minneapolis, MN.

Roses are Red

I was asked to create a custom piece on Etsy! Very exciting for me :) Here is the result. This is not the way her poem ended, instead, this is more of a standard ending.

This piece was made using mostly cut papers, and only minor amounts of colored pencil and digital.

My Tattoo

Here it is everyone! My final design for my soon-to-have tattoo :)

All the "white" space will be skin tone, because I have chosen to just have minimal bursts of color. I'm in love with this design, and it only took about 10 different overall changes to come to this point :)

More Patterns

Adding another pattern to my digital experience :) I've decided to continue on my theme of "weddings" for this one. So far I now have 2 patterns and a bridal shower invitation in this theme. Coming up next (hopefully), gift bags!!!!

Bridal Shower Invitation

Continuing on my "digital only" path, I am working on the bridal shower invites for my soon-to-be sister-in-law's shower. Notice the background pattern? Yup, I posted it last time :)

Adding more digital works into the folio. It feels like it belongs on a wedding gift bag, no? :)
